David Shugar, Manager of the Say on Climate Initiative, engages companies to establish climate plans aligned with shareholder expectations of transparency, risk management, and science-based greenhouse gas reductions. David has contributed to numerous As You Sow publications and scorecards, including Road to Zero Emissions, which ranked 55 large U.S. companies on net zero, 1.5° C, emissions reduction plans and performance. David’s previous experience includes working at HIP (Human Impact + Profit) Investor, where he created thousands of sustainability rankings on corporations, bond issuers, and funds. David holds an MBA from the Presidio Graduate School and a BS in Applied Physics from UC Santa Cruz.
